I am your school nurse...
I don't have a magic wand, crystal ball or all the answers
but i do have a heart to care, ears to listen, time to give, ideas to share & an open mind.
i am your school nurse...
i may not be able to fix all your problems, but i can promise that you won't have to face them alone.
I am here for you.

School Nursing

My career as the school nurse for Cattell Elementary School began in the fall of 2021.  Before coming to Cattell I was at Urbandale High School for a year. Prior to becoming a school nurse I worked in the hospital on an Adult cardiac/telemetry unit for 4 years then in the Pediatric ICU for 10 years. I received my Associate and Bachelor Degrees in Nursing from Mercy College of Health Science in Des Moines, IA.

I live in Ankeny with my husband and three children.  As I take care of students throughout the day, I think of my own children and how I would want them cared for.  In Elementary, as I see students, I teach and encourage them to start to become more independent as they grow and advise them on making good decisions when it comes to their health.  My goal is to help our students be successful in and out of the classroom.
